You can have your window stickers digitally printed or screen printed. Digitally printed stickers are popular due to the low cost for short runs. If you have a long-run job, it might be beneficial to have them screen printed. They are also best suited for designs using a limited number of solid colours. Since screen printing involves the printing of spot colours, it is best placed to handle this type of artwork.
Most artwork these days requires full colour or process printing in order to print photos, gradients, shading, and other graphics. Digitally printed window stickers offer a much higher quality print than the screen print equivalent for this type of artwork.
As for the adhesive, there are generally 3 types:
- Permanent adhesive
- Removable or peelable adhesive
- Static cling
Permanent adhesive window stickers are suitable for industrial applications where the window sticker needs to be in situ for an extended period of time. They can be used when there is no requirement to remove the sticker in the short run. They are still removable but do take more work to do so than the peelable type.
Removable adhesive are an excellent choice when stickers are required to stick to the window for a long period of time but, nevertheless, may need to be removed with ease during this time. Car window stickers, for example, are best printed on a removable adhesive vinyl to avoid any residue being left on the windows after removal.
